Born in Los Angeles, Bassem Eldakar moved to Binghamton, New York, at a very young age, where he remained throughout his high school and college career. A first generation American, Bassem's parents were born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, and moved to the United States in the early 70's. Bassem first began acting early in his college career under the brilliant direction of Angelo Zuccolo. He finished his schooling at Binghamton University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. His film credits include "2livecycle5", "One Take", and "Honor", all filmed by Rex Henry. In addition, he won acclaim for the full-length feature film "The Second Son" and will be seen in the music video "Coffeehouse Trance". Bassem has also graced the stage in such plays as "The Lion in Winter", "Bram Stoker's Dracula", "And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little". His captivating performance in "Tina and Tony's Wedding" landed him the lead roles in two world premiere plays, "Chocolate Cokes" and "Fumes". Bassem also volunteered for a year and a half for the Mental Health Players, an improvisational group that travels throughout school districts performing short skits for educational purposes.
